The first stop is the archaeological site of ancient Carthage, starting at Byrsa hill, where you'll view the ruins of this historic capital founded by the Phoenicians in the 9th century BCE. Next, you will visit the Tophet of Carthage, a sacred site that served as a cemetery dedicated to the deities Tanit and Baal, where you can observe surviving Carthaginian funerary and religious artwork.
