After being picked up from your hotel in Tunis, you will be taken to the Bardo National Museum, located in a neighborhood of the same name. The museum, showcasing thousands of years of Tunisia's history through different archaeological exhibitions, is considered one of the most important in the Mediterranean and Africa.
Upon entering the museum, housed in a 15th-century royal palace, your guide will take you through the most significant works of art. Highlights include the exhibition of Roman mosaics from across Tunisia, regarded as one of the best-preserved collections in the world.
You will explore collections from Tunisian archaeological sites dating back to the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, and Romans.
After the museum tour, you will board an air-conditioned vehicle and head towards Tunis Medina, a 15-minute drive away. You will find this is one of the most well-preserved medinas globally.
Your expert English-speaking guide will lead you through the streets, showcasing traditional architecture and the lively atmosphere of the souks and markets. You will visit the impressive Al-Zaytuna Mosque and discover its beautiful decoration.
