Day 1: Tunis

Your journey begins upon arriving at the Tunis-Carthage International Airport, where you will be greeted and assisted with your luggage. A transfer will take you to your hotel situated in the city center, close to the Medina of Tunis, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend your first night. For late arrivals after 9 pm, we'll provide a cold boxed meal in your room instead of dinner.

Day 2: Tunis - Carthage - Sidi Bou Said - Tunis

Following breakfast, we'll pick you up from the hotel and proceed to the medina for a leisurely stroll through the souks, allowing you to discover traditional artisan crafts. Our journey will then take us north to Carthage, stopping along the way for an independent lunch at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival at the archaeological site of Carthage, perched along the Mediterranean coastline, we will unravel the history of this ancient Phoenician settlement that eventually became the heart of the Carthaginian Empire and delve into the significant narratives of the Punic Wars that shaped its legacy.

Next, we venture to Sidi Bou Said, where you will have the chance to roam this iconic village, renowned for its striking whitewashed walls and vibrant blue doors and windows.

At day’s end, we will return to your hotel in Tunis for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Tunis - Testour - Dougga - Zaghouan - Sousse

After a relaxed breakfast in Tunis, we will drive towards the enchanting village of Testour, famed for its Andalusian heritage. Here, we will take a closer look at the unique Great Mosque's clock, which intriguingly moves in reverse to standard clocks—perhaps a quirky reflection of a yearning to rewind time?

Next, we’ll explore the impressive ruins of Dougga, pausing at key landmarks including the Rose of the Winds Square, the Capitoline temple, the forum, and the ancient thermal baths.

You will then have a chance to enjoy lunch at your leisure before we continue our journey to Zaghouan, where we will visit the Temple of the Waters, an ancient aqueduct from Hadrian's reign that once transported water to Carthage, sure to leave you in awe!

The day concludes as we arrive at our accommodation in Sousse for a delightful dinner.

Day 4: Sousse - El Djem - Matmata - Douz

On the fourth day, after breakfast in Sousse, we will make our way to El Djem. Here, a visit to the remarkable amphitheater awaits, which ranks as one of the largest in the world. This magnificent limestone structure, preserved through the ages, will transport you to the grandeur of ancient Thysdrus, a key city of Roman Africa.

Subsequently, we will journey to Matmata, known for its fascinating cave dwellings excavated in the mountains for refuge against the arid desert climate. You will have an opportunity to dine at a local restaurant to satisfy your hunger.

We will then head to Douz, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, where you'll take a scenic drive through the sand dunes just in time to witness an unforgettable sunset.

Finally, we will escort you to your hotel in Douz for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Ong Jemel - Tozeur

After breakfast in Douz, our exploration continues. We will pause in Debebcha to marvel at the breathtaking scenery formed by sandstone formations.

Your adventure continues across the vast expanse of Chott el Jerid, a remarkable salt flat famed for its mirages and perched at an elevation of 25 meters above sea level. Capture stunning photographs as we traverse this unique landscape!

Following our exploration, we will reach our hotel in Tozeur for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, we will embark on an excursion in an off-road vehicle to the enchanting oases of Chebica, Tamerza, and the notable Ong Jemel hill, familiar to film enthusiasts from productions like The English Patient and Star Wars.

We will conclude our day back at our Tozeur accommodation for dinner and downtime. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Day 6: Tozeur - Kairouan - Sousse

After breakfast, we will depart towards the Atlas Mountains, destined for Kairouan, the fourth most sacred city in Islam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will enjoy a panoramic visit to the Great Mosque, renowned for its understated elegance, expansive marble courtyard, and its ancient square minaret, one of the oldest in the Muslim world.

Our journey continues at the Barber's Mausoleum, a revered shrine that contains relics of one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, a true testament to Kairouan's spiritual significance.

Following this experience, you'll have a chance to pause for lunch. The afternoon provides an opportunity for a leisurely exploration of the medina and vibrant traditional souks. As you navigate the narrow lanes, immerse yourself in the local culture, admiring the ochre brick architecture and browsing markets filled with dates, crafts, and ceramics.

Afterward, we'll head to our hotel in Sousse for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Sousse

On the seventh day, you will have free time on a half-board basis to discover Sousse at your own pace. The city’s sprawling Medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasting lively Arab bazaars brimming with unique character! Alternatively, you may opt to book one of our private day trips from Sousse for a tailored experience.

In the evening, we will regroup for dinner at a hotel in Sousse.

Day 8: Sousse - Tunis

After breakfast on the final day, we will journey back to Tunis for your transfer to the Tunis-Carthage Airport, ensuring you have ample time to catch your flight. We will bid farewell, bringing our comprehensive tour of Tunisia to a close.
