    Venaria Reale

    Morning : The Royal Palace of Venaria, the summer residence of the Savoys modelled on Versailles,extensive Italianate gardens surround this 16th-century hunting lodge built for Carlo Emanuele II of Savoy. The basements now house a historical exhibition that relates the story of the Savoy. The upper floors are given over to changing exhibitions. The Royal Palace is closed on Mondays.

    Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi

    Afternoon : Beyond Turin there are several wonderful places that we can reach, such as the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi, was built in the 1730s to a design by Juvarra and is peraphs his finest work. The exterior of the palace has been restored, while the interior is as luxurious as ever, and incorporates the Museo d'Arte e Ammobiliamento, a collection of art and furniture from other Savoy palaces. Stupinigi castle is closed on Mondays.
