Royal Palace of Turin Tour

At 1:30 pm, we will meet at the Piazzetta Reale at the main entrance of Turin's Royal Palace to begin our tour.

Don't be fooled by its facade; the exterior's austerity contrasts with the opulent interior, which showcases a long and rich history that led to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Royal Palace of Turin was the main residence of the House of Savoy, which established Turin as the first capital of modern Italy. As we explore the various halls, you will learn about the family's significant historical influence.

A highlight of the palace is the remarkable armoury, the second most important in Europe. The guide will present intriguing items found in this hall along with their historical context. We will walk through various areas of the Baroque-style palace, including the main hall, adorned with gold and gemstones, and the chandelier lounge.

Additionally, we will visit the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, originally built to house the Shroud of Turin, which was relocated due to a great fire that endangered it.

The tour concludes at 3 pm in front of the Royal Palace of Turin.
