Hike Through the Ruins of Lagoinha
At the established time, we'll meet at Rua Colonial in Ubatuba to begin this hiking tour through the ruins of Lagoinha.
During the non-strenuous hike, we'll visit the ruins of an old mill at Fazenda Bom Retiro, an archaeological site recognized as Historical Heritage of the State of São Paulo in 1985. This designation aims to protect the legacy of Ubatuba.
Throughout this tour, we'll discuss how this farm became one of the largest producers of coffee, sugar, and brandy in Brazil. Historians also suggest that these ruins were part of the first glass factory in Brazil.
After visiting the ruins of Lagoinha, we will walk to the Velo da Novia waterfall, offering stunning landscapes of the region.
The hiking trip through the ruins of Lagoinha concludes with our return to the starting point after three hours of walking.
