Hike Through the Ruins of Lagoinha

On this hiking tour through the ruins of Lagoinha, we will explore archaeological remains in São Paulo, including an ancient farm and factory in Ubatuba.

We will meet at Rua Colonial in Ubatuba to begin the hike. This non-strenuous trek includes a visit to the ruins of an old mill at Fazenda Bom Retiro, an archaeological site designated as Historical Heritage of the State of São Paulo in 1985 to protect Ubatuba's legacy.

During the tour, we will discuss how this farm became a major producer of coffee, sugar, and brandy. Historians also claim these ruins were part of the first glass factory in Brazil.

After viewing the ruins, we will walk to the Velo da Novia waterfall, a scenic spot to appreciate the landscapes of this region. The hike will conclude after three hours, returning to the starting point.
