On this mysteries and legends tour of Úbeda, you'll uncover the hidden side of this city in Jaén.

Tour Details

Úbeda is known for its rich history, stunning monuments, and eerie legends. We will meet at the Gate of Granada, where a hidden treasure is said to exist. The tour includes tales of the juancaballos, half-man, half-horse creatures appearing at night, along with other mysteries.

Our first stop will be the Plaza de San Lorenzo, to see the 16th-century Casa de las Torres (Palacio de los Dávalos), where a woman’s body was found walled up during renovations. We will then proceed to the Casa de Luna y Sol, known for its sun and moon coats of arms, where we will discuss its mysterious historical figure.

Next, we will visit Vázquez de Molina Square, home to the Basílica y Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de los Reales Alcázares de Úbeda. It is said an elf wanders within. The square also features the Holy Chapel of the Savior, recognized for its stone facade, considered one of the most beautiful in Andalusia.

We will then explore the Plaza de San Pablo, home to the Church of San Pablo, and discuss the festivity of La Pastora, which is no longer celebrated. The tour will conclude at the Palacio de los Condes de Guadiana, concluding our 2-hour exploration of Úbeda's mysteries and legends.
