Indian cuisine offers a range of unique tastes, smells, and textures. Experience Udaipur's traditional recipes on this gastronomic walking tour of the city.
Itinerary
Your food tour of the "City of Lakes" will begin at the Ghanta Ghar, or clocktower.
During the route, you will stop at various street food stalls to taste authentic Indian cooking. Among the traditional recipes are the popular kachoris, spicy fried dumplings filled with a baked daal mixture.
Another delicacy is dhokla, made from fermented rice and chickpea flour seasoned with chilli and mustard seeds, enjoyed cold for breakfast, as a main course, a side dish, or a snack.
Explore the subcontinent's customs and traditions as you sample the exquisite ghevar: a sweet ring-shaped cake traditionally eaten during the Teej festival. Your expert guide will provide insights into these festivities.
The tour's final stop will be at the Delhi Gate, where you will conclude with a tasting of one of Rajasthan's iconic drinks: a steaming cup of spicy masala chai.
