On this 4x4 tour around Tierra del Fuego, we'll depart from Ushuaia to explore the landscapes surrounding the Escondido and Fagnano lakes. The tour includes a visit to Estancia La Carmen for a traditional Argentinian BBQ.
Description
The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Ushuaia at the designated time. We will set off in an all-terrain vehicle towards mirador del Valle Carbajal for picturesque views of the fuegino landscapes. Next, we will proceed to the Garibaldi Pass, known for its vistas of the Escondido and Fagnano lakes.
From the most southerly mountain pass in the world, we will navigate through the forest of lengas along the banks of lake Escondido, before reaching the shores of lake Fagnano, home to Estancia La Carmen.
At Estancia, you can enjoy the facilities, stroll along the lake, and visit the Estancia Museum to learn about the history of Tierra del Fuego. A traditional Argentinian lunch will follow, featuring a ham and cheese board, a BBQ with salad or vegetables, and homemade flan for dessert.
After this meal by lake Fagnano, we will return to Ushuaia, with an expected arrival back at your hotel 7.5 hours after the initial pickup.
