Laguna Esmeralda Hike

Discover landscapes you'll never forget with this hike through the Tierra del Fuego province. You'll visit one of the most incredible places in the area: the Laguna Esmeralda.

Laguna Esmeralda Hike

After picking you up from your hotel in Ushuaia, we will set off towards the valleys of the Tierra del Fuego province. After a 20-minute car journey, we will arrive at the starting point of our hike. Along the trail, we will cross two valleys of glacial origin: the Tierra Mayor Valley and the Esmeralda River Valley.

We will spend two hours walking through forests formed by trees and glaciers. At midday, we will reach the famous Esmeralda Lagoon, whose emerald green waters honour its name. Here, we will enjoy a picnic consisting of fruit, alfajores, empanadas, and warm tea.

With our batteries recharged, we will set off again, taking the same route back. In just over two hours, we will be on the bus heading back to Ushuaia, dropping you off at your hotel by 2:30 pm.

To participate in this activity, you must bring long pants, waterproof jackets, hiking boots, a rucksack, water, gloves, a hat, sunglasses, and sun cream.
