Martial Glacier Hike

Experience an exciting winter adventure in Ushuaia by hiking through the Martial Glacier, one of the key glaciers in Tierra del Fuego.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel and head to the Martial Glacier Ski Center, where the trekking adventure begins. Explore one of Ushuaia's key glaciers.

The journey includes a passage through the Tourist Reserve en route to the Martial Glacier. We will share information about the landscapes encountered. Upon reaching our destination, we will provide all essential equipment, and the hike to the summit of the Martial Glacier will commence.

The trek will skirt the former ski slope, traverse the Fuegian forests, and observe the river created by the glacier's meltwater. The path includes rocky and icy terrain, with experienced guides assisting in navigation.

At the Martial viewpoint, enjoy a panoramic view of Ushuaia, the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego. We will have a nourishing lunch comprising a sandwich, dried fruits, nuts, and an alfajor, along with warm tea.

After lunch, we will descend towards the refuge. A minibus will transport you back to your Ushuaia hotel, concluding the 5-hour adventure.
