Martial Glacier Hike

Experience an exciting winter adventure in Ushuaia by hiking through the Martial Glacier, one of the key glaciers in Tierra del Fuego.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the Martial Glacier Ski Center, where our trekking adventure begins.

The journey includes traveling through the Tourist Reserve en route to the Martial Glacier. We will share facts about the landscapes encountered. Upon reaching our destination, we will provide essential equipment, and then we will start our hike to the summit of the Martial Glacier.

During the trek, we will skirt the former ski slope, traverse the Fuegian forests, and observe the river created by the glacier's meltwater. The path includes rocky and icy terrain, supported by our experienced guides.

Upon reaching the Martial viewpoint, we will enjoy a panoramic view of Ushuaia, the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego. We will have a lunch comprising a sandwich, dried fruits, nuts, and an alfajor, served with warm tea.

After lunch, we will begin our descent towards the refuge, where our minibus will transport you back to your Ushuaia hotel, concluding our 5-hour adventure.
