Utrecht Bike Tour
We'll start our bike tour of Utrecht by meeting at 11 am at the statue of Count Jan Van Nassau on Domplein. There, we will view the exterior architecture of St. Martin's Cathedral, a significant Gothic monument.
Opposite the cathedral is the Dom tower, the tallest bell tower in the Netherlands at 112 metres. From Domplein square, we'll explore the unique corners of Utrecht, including the oldest cycle path and the home of the first female university student in the country.
Continuing along the docks and canals, we'll pass a famous shop known for one of the best vanilla ice creams globally. A 20-minute break will be taken halfway through the tour at a local shop in the old town.
The tour will also cover the significance of the Treaty of Utrecht for Spain and discuss the famous local figure, Hadrian VI, the first and only Dutch pope in history.
The tour concludes with a walk through the historic centre of Utrecht, returning to the starting point at 1.30 pm.
