Paddle through the beautiful canals with this Utrecht Kayak Tour. While paddling, you'll get to know one of the most beautiful city in the Netherlands from a different point of view.

Utrecht Kayak Tour

We'll meet at 2 pm at the statue of Count Jan Van Nassau in front of the Utrecht Cathedral. From there, we will walk to the pier where the kayaks await. After brief instructions, we will start the kayak tour through the canals of Utrecht, beginning with the green canal, named for its surrounding vegetation. Throughout the tour, we will learn about the city's history, which has been significant to the Netherlands' economic and religious landscape for centuries.

Halfway through, we will stop for 20 minutes at a canal-side bar, where a drink is included. After the break, we will continue paddling to the Oudegracht, the old canal running through the historic center, where we will see the tallest bell towers.

While sailing, we will learn interesting facts, including that Utrecht was the birthplace of Alexander VI, the only Dutch pope. We will also explore crucial historical events, such as the signing of the Treaty of Utrecht at the beginning of the 18th century by the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Finally, at 5:30 pm, we will return to the departure pier.
