Travel back in time with this trip to Pulacayo where we'll visit the historic train museum and the village of Tomave to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Altiplano.
Pulacayo Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Uyuni at the indicated time and head to Pulacayo, located just 6 miles (9.6 km) from Uyuni.
This small town preserves the old iron locomotives that were used to transport silver from the mines. During the tour, we'll hear about the bank robbers Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid and their connection to this place.
As we explore this open-air train museum, we'll learn about the importance of Pulacayo's mining wealth, which contributed to economic development in the early 20th century.
After Pulacayo, we'll proceed to Tomave, known for its colonial church and rugged landscapes. We will then visit the hot springs of Tomave in the Altiplano region of Bolivia.
Our next stops will be the Warmy Kasilla green lagoon and the Orqo Kasilla light blue lagoon, situated at almost 5,000 metres (16,404 ft) above sea level, providing a memorable experience.
After 10 or 11 hours of touring Pulacayo, we'll return to Uyuni and drop you off at your hotel.
