Salar de Uyuni 3 Day Trip
Day 1
After pickup from your hotel, airport, or bus station in Uyuni, we will begin with a visit to the Train Cemetery, featuring abandoned trains from the late 19th and early 20th century. Next, we will visit the indigenous community of Colchani to learn about traditional iodized salt production.
We will explore the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat, visiting the Salt Piles and the first salt hotel. A lunch of Bolivian specialties will be provided, followed by time for photography. In the afternoon, we'll trek Incahuasi Island to see its large cacti and watch a sunset over the Salar. Dinner will be in Candelaria or San Juan for our first night.
Day 2
On day two, after breakfast, we will tour the Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve, visiting the town of San Juan for views of the Ollagüe Volcano. We'll explore the lakes of Cañapa, Charchota, Honda, and Hedionda to see pink flamingos. Continuing through the Siloli Desert, we'll see the Stone Tree and end the day at the Colorada Lagoon. We will stay the night in Huayllajara.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will visit nearby geysers and the Salvador Dali Desert. We will then head to the Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca for their colored waters and explore Valle de Rocas before stopping in San Cristóbal. The tour concludes back at your hotel in Uyuni around 5:30 PM.
