Salar de Uyuni 3 Day Trip

Day 1

The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel, airport, or bus station in Uyuni. The first stop is the Train Cemetery, featuring abandoned trains from the late 19th and early 20th century. Next, visit the indigenous community of Colchani to learn how iodized salt is processed traditionally.

Explore the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat, including important sites such as the Salt Piles and the first salt hotel. After lunch featuring Bolivian specialties, enjoy scenic photography opportunities and a short trek around Incahuasi Island, known for its tall cacti. Conclude the day by watching the sunset over the Salar.

Overnight accommodation will be in Candelaria or San Juan.

Day 2

After breakfast, embark on a tour of the Eduardo Abaroa National Reserve. Visit the town of San Juan, famous for its views of the active Ollagüe Volcano. Post-lunch, explore the lakes of Cañapa, Charchota, Honda, and Hedionda, home to pink flamingos. Later, pass through the Siloli Desert and see the Stone Tree, concluding at Colorada Lagoon known for its red waters.

Stay overnight in Huayllajara.

Day 3

After breakfast, visit nearby geysers before heading to the Salvador Dali Desert. Continue to Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca, then to Valle de Rocas with unique rock formations, and finally San Cristóbal, home to one of Bolivia's oldest churches and its largest gold mine.

The tour ends back at your hotel in Uyuni around 5:30 PM.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights of full-board accommodation: one in Candelaria or San Juan and the second in Huayllajara. Two options are available:
