Uyuni to La Paz: 4 Day Tour

Day 1: Uyuni - Coqueza

At 10:30 am, pickup from your hotel in a jeep. Visit the Uyuni train cemetery, then the village of Colchani to learn about salt production and handicrafts. After lunch, explore the Uyuni Salt Flat, the world's largest, including the Incahuasi viewpoint. Dinner and overnight in Coqueza.

Day 2: Coqueza - Tunupa Volcano - Colcha K

Wake up early for sunrise over the Uyuni Salt Flat. After breakfast, visit the Coqueza caves to see the Coqueza mummies. Ascend Tunupa Volcano by foot and jeep. Enjoy lunch and proceed to the village of Colcha K for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Colcha K - Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve

After breakfast, travel to the southern plains known for quinoa production. Cross Chiguana Salt Flat and visit Ollague Volcano's viewpoint. Enter Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, stopping at Capaña and Hedionda lagoons to observe Andean flamingos. After lunch, visit the Red Lagoon and overnight at Polques Hot Springs.

Day 4: Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve - La Paz

Wake up at dawn and visit Sol de Mañana, known for geysers. Continue to Laguna Verde at Licanbur Volcano's foot. Stop in Villa Mar for lunch and return to Uyuni, passing through colonial mining villages. Depart from Uyuni on a sleeper bus at 8:30 pm, arriving in La Paz at 5:30 am.

Rainy season

During the rainy season, access to the salt flat is limited to around 6 to 9 miles (10 to 15 kilometers) on the first day. This season lasts until around March or April.
