Day 1: From Uyuni to Coqueza
Your adventure begins at 10:30 am with a pick-up from your hotel in a jeep, as we set off across the expansive plains of the Bolivian Potosí. Our first stop is the Uyuni train cemetery, where you can explore the remnants of steam locomotives once vital for transporting minerals from the region. Following this, we'll visit the village of Colchani to understand the traditional methods of salt production and handicrafts.
After a lunch break, we will explore the magnificent Uyuni Salt Flat. Recognized as the largest salt flat in the world, this surreal landscape offers views that transport you to another dimension. We'll stop by a unique salt hotel and then ascend to the Incahuasi viewpoint, surrounded by impressive cacti, where you can take in the striking vistas of the salt flat. Our day concludes in the village of Coqueza, where dinner and overnight accommodation await.
Day 2: Coqueza, Tunupa Volcano, and Colcha K
Awaken early to witness a captivating sunrise over the Uyuni Salt Flat. After breakfast, we will journey toward the Coqueza caves, located at the base of Tunupa Volcano. Here, ancient Coqueza mummies await, remnants of a family that lived over 500 years ago, preserved due to the unique cave conditions.
Then, we will ascend the volcano, both hiking and driving. After lunch, we will proceed to the village of Colcha K, taking in the breathtaking landscapes of salt flats and mountains along the way. In Colcha K, we will enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

Upon entering the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, we will take a break at Capaña and Hedionda lagoons to observe native Andean flamingos and other bird species. Following lunch, we will traverse the Silala Desert to reach the Red Lagoon, known for its distinctive reddish waters. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at the Polques Hot Springs.
Day 4: From Eduardo Avaroa to La Paz
Rise early on our final day as we set out for Sol de Mañana, an area characterized by bubbling mud geysers emitting steam and fumaroles. This geothermal region also heats the nearby Polques Hot Springs, which we will visit. Our journey continues to the stunning Laguna Verde, situated at the foot of Licanbur Volcano, where vibrant colors will capture your attention.
