Cares River Solo Kayak Trip

The Cares River, with a total length of 54 kilometers (33 miles), is one of the most crystalline freshwater streams in Asturias. This solo descent of the Cares River offers a fun way to explore the lush green landscapes.

Departing from Niserias, you will have the time needed to complete the 22-kilometer (13-mile) route. Thanks to the steady current, you can relax and enjoy the paddling experience.

If you wish to take a break, there are various spots along the route where you can stop for food, drinks, or to rest and explore the surroundings.

The journey concludes at the mouth of the Deva River in the Cantabrian town of Unquera, where a minibus will return you to the meeting point in Pesués.
