Paddle down the Cares River at your own pace while enjoying the landscapes of northern Spain. This trip allows you and your group to kayak by yourselves down this alpine river.

Cares River Solo Kayak Trip

The Cares River is 54 kilometers (33 miles) long and is one of the most crystalline freshwater streams in Asturias. This solo descent is ideal for those wishing to explore the green landscapes in a unique way.

Departing from Niserias, you can take your time to complete the 22-kilometer (13-mile) route. The steady current makes it easy to paddle down without excessive effort, allowing you to relax and enjoy.

Along the route, you can stop at different places to grab a bite, have a drink, or simply rest and explore the surroundings.

The route concludes at the mouth of the Deva River in the Cantabrian town of Unquera, where a minibus will transport you back to the meeting point in Pesués.
