Kayaing Tour in The Valdivia River

You can choose between 2 options when booking. Both start at the indicated time at Casa Río Vivo and include kayaking equipment rental, a snack, and an English-speaking guide. Details of each option are as follows:

4 Hour Tour

This option is suitable for those in the Los Ríos region who wish to kayak. The tour covers a 5 km (3 mile) route along calm waters, ideal for a relaxing experience. Participants will be surrounded by nature and can observe the rural landscape of Valdivia and remnants from the 1960 earthquake.

During the tour, there will be a stop for a snack and to enjoy the scenery, before returning to the meeting point after a total of 4 hours.

8 Hour Tour

This option allows for a longer immersion in nature. The tour follows a similar route but covers 10 km (6 miles), providing deeper exploration into the natural environment.

Weather permitting, participants may observe various species of native birds along the river, and learn about the confluence of more than 5 rivers in the region. This river is significant for several rowing clubs in Chile.

After a snack break on the shores, participants will continue paddling upstream, returning to the starting point after a total of 8 hours.
