Valencia de Alcántara Offroad Tour

We'll meet at the designated time at the bullring in Valencia de Alcántara. Once assembled, we'll board an offroad vehicle to tour two significant locations.

First, we'll travel through the Sierra de San Pedro to visit a major megalithic site in Europe, where we can walk among granite and slate dolmens that are over 4000 years old. These structures are funerary in nature.

After the archaeological site, we'll proceed to Berrocal de la Data, the fifth natural monument in Extremadura. This 465-hectare area comprises a group of uniquely shaped granite rocks that serve as nesting grounds for griffon vultures, surrounded by vast forests of chestnut trees, scrubland, and cork oaks.

Additionally, millennia-old cave paintings and five dolmens—Data I, Data II, Mellizo, Cajirón I, and Cajirón II—have been discovered here. In this remarkable spot, we will enjoy a picnic with typical products such as cheese and chorizo.

Finally, we will return to the starting point in Valencia de Alcántara to conclude this 3-hour tour.
