Guided Tour of Valencia and the Silk Exchange

At the indicated time, we will start our guided walk through the old town of Valencia at the Plaza de los Fueros, in front of the Serranos Towers. This medieval bastion housed several works of art from the Prado Museum during the Spanish Civil War. You will learn about the towers before heading to the Plaza de San Lorenzo, where we will observe the exterior decoration of the Valencian Courts.

Next, we will visit the Plaza de Manises, opposite the local government headquarters, and then walk to the nearby Plaza de la Virgen. Here, we will admire the Basilicas of the Virgen de los Desamparados and the Valencia cathedral, along with the Miguelete bell tower.

Our next stop is the Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange). Inside this medieval Gothic building, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we will learn about Valencia's history in the 15th and 16th centuries, reflecting the city's commercial heyday.

The tour concludes in the area surrounding the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where we will see monuments such as the Bull Ring and the Estación del Norte train station, a notable modernist building.
