The historic silk exchange, the magnificent gothic cathedral, and the impressive Serranos Gate highlight medieval Valencia. Explore the legacy of the Kingdom of Valencia on our guided city tour.

Medieval Valencia Tour

The tour begins at the Serranos Gate, a key architectural symbol dating back to the 14th century. This period is significant in Valencia's history, which will be discussed during the tour.

The conquest of Valencia by James I in the 13th century initiated a transformative era. Participants will appreciate these historical shifts while walking through the historic center of Turia's capital.

The cathedral of Valencia is a central landmark of the old town. Its renowned bell tower, the Miguelete, has a rich history, which will be explored by our professional guide. The medieval architect Pere Balaguer contributed to the construction of this tower and many other significant monuments in the city.

Another highlight is the Llotja de la Seda (Silk Exchange), showcasing a blend of architectural styles that reflect Valencia's prosperous commercial past. Participants will learn about the importance of this trade to the region.

The tour lasts for 2 hours and concludes at the Plaza de la Reina, the city’s heart.
