Medieval Valencia Tour

Our guided tour of medieval Valencia will start at the designated time at the Serranos Gate, built in the 14th century. This tour will cover significant historical events, including the conquest of Valencia by James I in the 13th century, signaling a transformation in the city. We will walk through the historic center of the Turia region.

The cathedral of Valencia is a key landmark, featuring the bell tower known as the Miguelete, with its intriguing history. Our guide will provide insights into its architecture, much of which was influenced by medieval architect Pere Balaguer.

The Llotja de la Seda (Silk Exchange) is another architectural highlight. We will appreciate its façade and the blend of styles that reflect the city’s commercial significance. You will learn about the importance of this activity for the Valencians.

After a total duration of 2 hours, the visit will conclude at the Plaza de la Reina square, the city's focal point.
