The historic silk exchange, the gothic cathedral, and the Serranos Gate highlight medieval Valencia. Explore the legacy of the Kingdom of Valencia on our guided city tour.

Medieval Valencia Tour

The tour begins at the Serranos Gate, a symbol of the city built in the 14th century. This period was pivotal in Valencia's history, which will be detailed during the tour.

The 13th-century conquest of Valencia by James I marked a transformation for the city, which we will discover as we walk through the historic center.

The cathedral of Valencia is a key landmark. The famous bell tower, the Miguelete, has a significant history that our guide will share while we admire its architecture. The medieval architect Pere Balaguer was involved in constructing the tower and other important monuments in the city.

The iconic Llotja de la Seda (Silk Exchange) is another highlight. We will discuss its architectural styles and the significance of silk trading in Valencia's past.

The visit lasts 2 hours and concludes at the Plaza de la Reina, the city's heart.
