Church of San Nicolás Ticket
The Church of San Nicolás is a key site in Valencia, founded over 700 years ago on a Roman temple's location. Originally donated by King Jaime I of Aragon to the Dominican monks, it is dedicated to San Nicolás Obispo. The church showcases a blend of Gothic architecture and Baroque decoration, particularly evident in the 17th and 18th centuries, with frescoed arches depicting scenes from the lives of Saint Nicolás and Saint Peter the Martyr. This extensive fresco cycle is often compared to the Sistine Chapel, with recent restorations enhancing their appeal. An audio guide is included to provide insights into the Valencian Sistine Chapel and the miracles associated with it.
