San Nicholas Church Ticket

The Church of San Nicolas is a significant site in Valencia, founded over 700 years ago on the site of a Roman temple. It was donated by King Jaime I of Aragon to the Dominican monks, dedicated to San Nicolás Obispo.

This church exemplifies a mix of Gothic structure and Baroque decoration, particularly evident in the 17th and 18th centuries when the architecture transformed from Gothic to Baroque. The arches and vaults were softened and frescoed with scenes from the lives of Saint Nicholas and Saint Peter the Martyr.
