For centuries, Valencia was home to the Gremi de Velluters, silk velvet producers. The silk industry began with Genoese artisans and flourished in the 15th century, bringing wealth to the city.

The Silk Museum showcases the history and development of this trade, covering the discovery of silk, the breeding of worms, and the elaboration of silk on looms. You'll learn that Valencia hosted almost 5000 looms among other interesting facts revealed with this ticket.

Museum Opening Times

The Silk Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and on Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 2:30 pm.
