During this guided tour of the Borgia family in Valencia, visit the cathedral and uncover the legacy of this influential family, which held the papacy twice.

Valencia Cathedral + Borgia Legacy Tour

We'll kick off our guided tour of the Borgia Family in Valencia by meeting at the indicated time at Manises Square, right in front of the Palace of the Generalitat.

Following a brief introduction in front of the presidential palace, we'll begin our route through the city in search of the Borgia Legacy. This family, originally from the Zaragozan region of Borja, settled in the Levantine coastal areas of Jativa and Gandia. We'll explore their influence across various cities.

Throughout the tour, we'll pause at various churches and palaces to examine their architecture and the symbols of the Borgia family. The Borgia also had an extensive art collection, including the renowned Holy Grail. We'll investigate this legend during our visit to the Valencia Cathedral.

As we enter the cathedral, we'll further explore the Borgia family's connection to the church, noting that Calixtus III and Alexander VI were both members who became Pope.

After 2.5 hours, we'll conclude our tour at St. Lawrence Square, home to the Valencian Parliament within the Palace of Benicarló, which was also owned by the Borgia family!
