Valencia Cathedral + Borgia Legacy Tour
Our guided tour of the Borgia Family in Valencia begins at Manises Square, in front of the Palace of the Generalitat. After a brief introduction, we will start our exploration of the Borgia Legacy. This family, originally from Borja, made significant contributions to the Levantine areas of Jativa and Gandia, with their influence extending to the capital.
During the tour, we will visit various churches and palaces, discussing their architecture and the symbols of the Borgia family. The Borgia family is known for an extensive art collection, including the Holy Grail. Our visit to the Valencia Cathedral will further reveal their connection to the church, as family members Calixtus III and Alexander VI became Pope.
After 2.5 hours, we will conclude our tour at St. Lawrence Square, home to the Valencian Parliament in the Palace of Benicarló, which was also owned by the Borgia family.
