On this day trip to Xàtiva and Anna, we'll discover the secrets and history of these 2 towns in the mountains of Valencia.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the BP gas station on Avinguda d'Aragó before departing Valencia towards our first destination: Xàtiva.

After a journey of around 60km (37 miles), we'll arrive at Xàtiva Castle, a historic fortress divided into the Castell Menor and Castell Major, built on Iberian and Roman ruins. We'll learn about the history and significance of the fortification and enjoy views of the town from its mountain location.

Next, we visit Xàtiva's old town, where we'll explore its history as the birthplace of the Borgia Popes and its importance to the King of Valencia. We'll discuss the town's destruction in the 18th century and its subsequent recovery.

We will then make our way to Anna, where we'll visit the Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón in the historic centre.

After exploring the palace and its history, we will return, stopping at Lake Anna, known as the Albufera of Anna, a natural spectacle.

Finally, after a total of 7 hours, we'll return to the meeting point in Valencia.
