Valletta Street Food Tour

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Maltese Parliament and embark on a delicious street food tour around Valletta. We will visit key sites such as the Palace of the Grand Master and the Superior Gardens of Barrakka. Along the way, we will stop at several street food stalls. The first tasting will be pastizzi, a puff pastry typically filled with ricotta or pea paste.

Continuing along Mercaderes Street, our next stop will feature ftira, a fermented bread filled with sardines, tuna, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and olives, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

We will also view historic landmarks like St. John's Co-Cathedral, Republic Square, and St. George's Square. Here, we'll taste gbejniet, typical Maltese cheese, and bigilla, a local hummus variant.

To conclude, we will enjoy traditional Maltese sweets along with a local soft drink, Kinnie, and the Maltese's favorite beer. After 3 hours of culinary exploration, we will return to the starting point.
