Spend the day visiting one of Chile's main Humboldt penguin colonies on our excursion to Cachagua Island. We will depart from Viña del Mar to see these animals up close.

Cachagua Island Penguin Watching

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Viña del Mar and head northbound. The route will run parallel to the Pacific Ocean, passing through Reñaca, Concón, and the mouth of the Aconcagua River.

Our journey will conclude in Zapallar, where we will board a fishermen's boat to Cachagua Island, home to a significant colony of Humboldt penguins on the Chilean coast. The 1-hour boat trip will allow us to observe pelicans, seagulls, ducks, and penguins, showcasing the island's biodiversity.

After the boat trip, we will return to Zapallar dock and visit a local empanada bar for a taste of this Chilean dish, accompanied by a soft drink or mineral water. Following our snack, we will return you to your hotel in Viña del Mar, arriving by 3 pm.
