Join us on a gastronomic experience in Valparaíso with our Chilean Cooking Class & Lunch. You'll visit a traditional market, learn how to cook a Chilean recipe, and taste the dish you prepare.

Valparaíso Chilean Cooking Class & Lunch

At 10 am, we'll meet in Sotomayor Square, in front of the Valparaíso Fire Brigade. From there, we'll take the metro to the Caleta Portales area to buy the products needed for our Chilean ceviche.

First, we'll visit a fresh fish stall to purchase the main ingredients. Then, we'll head to either the Cardonal Market or the Produce Fair on Avenida Argentina to select vegetables and lemons for a pisco sour, a traditional Chilean drink, and seasonal fruits for dessert.

Next, we'll stop at a traditional botillería to choose a bottle of wine for our meal. Afterward, we'll go to a private home on Santo Domingo Hill, where a local family will lead our cooking class.

You'll learn to make a typical Chilean ceviche, served with pisco sour and traditional bread pancakes called churrascas. While enjoying your meal with local wine, the family will discuss Valparaíso's gastronomy and culinary traditions.

After lunch, we'll return to the starting point via metro and conclude the tour at 2 pm.
