On this street art tour in Vancouver, we will discover colourful murals and participate in a coffee workshop.

Description

We will meet at the indicated time in Olympic Village Square, next to The Birds sculpture. This tour includes a local bar visit where we will have an artisan coffee workshop. An expert will provide a lesson on coffee bean roasting and share interesting facts about coffee.

After the workshop, we will enjoy a coffee from the establishment before starting our walk to explore the city's murals. The tour begins with an explanation of the distinction between graffiti, seen as vandalism, and artistic murals. Our focus will be on the latter, highlighting how these murals serve as acts of socio-cultural revindication.

We will then walk to the murals in Mount Pleasant, an area known for its alternative shops and restaurants. We will stop to analyze several murals, exploring the symbolism and meaning conveyed by the artists.

Lastly, we will take a break for a beer before returning to the meeting point, approximately 3 hours after the tour begins.
