On this tour of La Guaira, we'll pass down the colonial streets, discovering archaeological remains and enjoying views of the Caribbean Sea. Welcome to the entrance to Venezuela!
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in La Guaira and begin this guided tour.
La Guaira is known for its historical significance, established to protect the capital. It features the Path of the Spaniards, connecting La Guaira to Caracas.
During the tour, we'll explore La Guaira's old town, viewing colourful colonial houses and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere. Traditional clothing is common among the locals.
Next, we'll visit the promenade, the Cinta Costera (Coastal Strip), to enjoy views of Venezuela's Caribbean coastline. We'll conclude our tour with the latest archaeological finds in the vaults of the walled city.
We'll examine remains left by the Spanish, once used as jails. This will provide a glimpse into the past.
After approximately three to four hours exploring the coastal city's charms, we'll return to your hotels.
