São Jorge Hike

At 9 am, pick-up from your hotel in São Jorge will occur, followed by a visit to the Fajã do Ouvidor and Fajã dos Cubres viewpoints for panoramic views of the island.

Next, we will travel to Beira to visit a cheese factory. You will have the opportunity to sample its award-winning products with protected status.

Following this, we will embark on a trek through valleys adorned with hydrangeas, heather, and holophytic flora. The path includes views of the famous fajãs, a geographical phenomenon resulting from lava flows.

At 12 pm, there will be a break in nature for a picnic lunch, featuring a sandwich, fruit, juice, water, and a traditional sweet treat.

After lunch, the trek continues towards the coast, with a stop at the Fajã do Ouvidor viewpoint before descending to the Simão Dias natural pool for a swim in the emerald waters of the Azores.

The trek concludes in São Jorge, with hotel drop-off planned for 4 pm.
