Are you looking for a unique experience at a historic location in Venice? Talent and art combine perfectly at this classical music concert in San Vidal Church.
Description
Immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere in Venice and enjoy classical music in San Vidal Church, which dates back to the 11th century and features an interior with works by Venetian painters. This church is noted as the burial place of the composer Baldasare Galuppi. Visitors can also see an exhibition of original violins, violas, and cellos.
Once the lights are dimmed, the music begins, transporting you to the golden age of Venetian Baroque. The acoustics of this venue enhance every note. The Interpreti Veneziani orchestra performs Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, followed by a concert featuring violins, strings, and a harpsichord, concluding with a piece by Marin Marais on the cello. The concert lasts an hour and a half.
Days of Operation
Vivaldi's The Four Seasons concert is performed only on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you can attend Around Vivaldi: an immersive experience, which pays tribute to Vivaldi and other Baroque and Classical composers.
Venice Music Museum
This activity includes admission to the Museum of Music, located inside the ancient church of San Maurizio, which houses a collection of 200 original instruments related to musical pieces from Venice and composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, Amati, and Giovanni Battista Guadagnini.
