Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point, starting our tour of the city of canals. We'll walk around the square to admire its monuments.
The tour continues through the Piazza di Santa Maria Formosa, where we’ll see a church of the same name. Next, we’ll reach the Campo de SS. Giovani e Paolo, home to the Pantheon of Venice and the Great School of Charity. We will also visit the House of Marco Polo and the Malibran Theater, leading to a stroll down Mercerie Street back to Piazza San Marco for our visits.
First, we'll enter the Doge's Palace, touring the rich rooms where the Doge of Venice ruled. Here, we'll explore opulent staircases and view works by Titian and Tintoretto. We’ll see the dungeons where convicts were taken through the Bridge of Sighs and learn about imprisoned figures.
Next, we’ll visit the Museum of the Basilica of San Marco, where we'll learn about its origins and admire mosaics. We’ll also go to the terraces to hear the story of the Four Horses of San Marco. The tour concludes after leaving the basilica.
