Boat to Murano & Burano
We'll meet at the designated time at a central pier in Venice and board our tour boat for a journey across the Venetian Lagoon, during which multilingual guides will provide historical insights. Our first stop will be the island of Murano, known for its traditional glass-making industry dating back to the Middle Ages. We will stay for about 45 minutes to visit a glass factory and watch a live demonstration of this ancient art.
Next, we'll head to Burano, where you'll have approximately an hour and a half of free time to explore its colorful homes and cultural heritage, particularly its famous crochet lace, or merletti. You can visit local museums, such as the lace museum, and shops selling these crafts.
We will regroup at the Burano pier for our return to Venice, concluding at either Santa Lucia Pier or Riva degli Schiavioni Pier, based on your preference.
