Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the designated meeting point to enter Venice's two emblematic buildings.
First, we'll visit the Doge's Palace, which represented the political power of Venice for centuries. This building was the official residence of the Doges, the highest leaders of the Republic of Venice, and we will discuss the authority of these leaders as we enter.
We will walk through different rooms, see the great golden staircase, and admire works by Titian, Tintoretto, and Bellini. We'll also cross the Bridge of Sighs to visit the dungeons.
The second part of the tour will focus on the St. Mark's Basilica Museum, where we will explore the origins of the Basilica from the year 828 through its various museum rooms.
During the tour, we will view the beautiful mosaics of the temple and the four Horses of St. Mark, which were brought from Constantinople. Highlights and facts about these sculptures will be shared.
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, concluding in St. Mark's Square.
