Visit the Most Beautiful Churches in Venice

At the indicated time, we will gather at the Church of St. Zacharias to begin our tour of three of Venice's most iconic temples. Let's go!

We'll visit the Church of St. Zacharias, a 15th-century structure located in the heart of the city. Its façade features Gothic and Renaissance elements.

Inside, we’ll see a renowned work by the painter Giovanni Bellini, The Virgin and Child with Saints, at the main altar. A highlight will be the partially submerged crypt, housing the remains of ancient Venetian doges.

Next, we will continue our tour at the Basilica of St. John and St. Paul, known as San Zanipolo. This 13th-century church is one of the largest in Venice, with a façade that contrasts the rich interior. We’ll view the tombs of 25 doges, emphasizing its significance as a pantheon for the rulers of the Republic of Venice.

The tour concludes with St. Mark's Basilica, a symbol of the city. Its Byzantine-style architecture showcases Venice's connections with the Eastern world. We will admire the golden mosaics while learning about its historical and cultural importance.

After 2 hours and 15 minutes, we will end this enriching experience at the final basilica.
