On this tour we'll pass through the centre of Venice, taking in its most important monuments: the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica. Reserving this tour saves you both time and money!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point to begin our tour of the city of canals. We'll walk around the square to admire its monuments.

The tour will then continue through the Piazza di Santa Maria Formosa and we will see a church of the same name. We will then reach the Campo de SS. Giovani e Paolo, home to the Pantheon of Venice and the Great School of Charity. We will also visit the House of Marco Polo and pass by the Malibran Theater. The tour includes a return via Mercerie Street to Piazza San Marco to visit its iconic buildings.

First, we'll enter the Doge's Palace, exploring the rich rooms where the Doge of Venice made decisions for the duchy. We will see golden staircases and artworks by Titian and Tintoretto, then visit the dungeons and discuss prominent figures imprisoned there.

Next, we’ll visit the Museum of The Basilica of San Marco to learn about the origins of the temple. We will admire its mosaics and see the Four Horses of San Marco from the terraces before concluding the tour.
