Explore the charming village of Mandinga and enjoy a scenic boat ride through the tranquil, mangrove-fringed lagoons during this exciting excursion from Veracruz.

Boat Trip Details

We will convene at 3 pm at Plaza Acuario before taking a tram to the picturesque village of Mandinga. After a brief 30-minute ride, we will arrive and proceed directly to the pier, where a boat will be ready for us.

Our journey will begin as we sail for the next 40 minutes from the Laguna Chica to the Laguna Grande. Expect to glide through a beautiful mangrove forest, an environment teeming with diverse fauna and flora.

During the trip, keep an eye out for many remarkable bird species, including herons and cormorants, which can be spotted on the small islands dotted throughout the lagoons.

Once the boat ride concludes, you will have approximately one hour of free time to savor the area’s local fish and seafood at one of the restaurants. Don’t miss trying the famed Mandinga oysters, often prepared fresh and served soon after being caught.

At 6 pm, we will head back to the station and board the tram once more for a quick return to Veracruz, completing our enjoyable adventure at the starting point.
