Orizaba & Coscomatepec Excursion

On the morning of the tour, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Veracruz. From there, we'll set off to visit two famous Pueblos Mágicos of the region.

Our first stop will be in Orizaba, where you'll visit the 19th-century Palacio de Hierro, the seat of the municipal government, and take the local cable car to Cerro del Borrego natural park. At the top, we'll have views of this protected area full of misty forests, from an altitude of 1240 meters above sea level.

Then, we'll travel to Coscomatepec in the region known as Las Altas Montañas. Here, we'll see the Church of San Juan Bautista, which houses a renowned carving of the Christ of the Agony. You'll also view Constitution Park and the colonial-style Municipal Palace.

We'll visit a typical bakery to discover why the bread and sweets of this area are famous. In parts of town, we can see the Citlaltépetl volcano, so remember your camera. After the visit, you'll have two hours of free time to have lunch.

At the end of this day trip, we'll return to Veracruz, arriving at your hotel between 7 and 7:20 pm.
