Orizaba & Coscomatepec Excursion

On the morning of the tour, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Veracruz. From there, we'll set off to visit two of the famous Pueblos Mágicos of the region.

Our first stop will be in Orizaba, where you'll visit the 19th-century Palacio de Hierro, the seat of the municipal government, and take the local cable car to Cerro del Borrego natural park. At the top, we will have views of this protected area full of misty forests, at an altitude of 1240 meters above sea level.

Then, we'll travel to Coscomatepec, located in the region known as Las Altas Montañas. There we will see the Church of San Juan Bautista, which houses a carving of the Christ of the Agony. You'll also see Constitution Park and the colonial-style Municipal Palace.

We'll visit a typical bakery to learn about the region's famous bread and sweets. From some parts of town, you will see the Citlaltépetl volcano. After the visit, you'll have two hours of free time to grab lunch.

At the end of the day trip, we will return to Veracruz, arriving at your hotel between 7 and 7:20 pm.
