Excursion to Orizaba & Coscomatepec

During the early hours of the trip, we will collect you from your accommodation in Veracruz. Our adventure begins as we head towards two of the renowned Pueblos Mágicos in the area.

Our initial destination will be Orizaba, where you'll explore the 19th-century Palacio de Hierro, which serves as the municipal government hub. Following this visit, we will take the local cable car to the heights of Cerro del Borrego natural park. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of this protected region abundant in misty woodlands, perched at an elevation of 1240 meters above sea level!

Next, we will proceed to Coscomatepec, situated in a region referred to as Las Altas Montañas ('High Mountains'). Here, you will visit the Church of San Juan Bautista, renowned for housing the exquisite carving of the Christ of the Agony. Additionally, you'll have the chance to see Constitution Park and the charming Municipal Palace.

We'll also visit a local bakery to discover the secrets behind the famous bread and pastries from this part of Mexico. Along certain viewpoints in town, the majestic Citlaltépetl volcano can be spotted, so remember to have your camera ready! After the explorations, you'll have two hours of leisure time to enjoy lunch.

Concluding this delightful day trip, we will return to Veracruz, reaching your hotel approximately between 7 and 7:20 pm.
