Tour Details

We will meet at 12 pm at Plaza Acuario in Veracruz and take transport to San Juan de Ulúa. Upon arrival at this small island next to the port of Veracruz, we will start the guided tour to explore the secrets of this 500-year-old fortress.

During its time as a prison, San Juan de Ulúa became one of the most notorious places in the country. You will learn about the conditions for prisoners and visit their cells to understand their experiences.

You will also hear about Chucho el Roto and the Mulatto of Córdoba, two legendary inmates, and the stories behind them.

We will visit the Tower of San Pedro, where you can enjoy views of the coast and the port, ideal for taking a souvenir photograph.
