Xalapa & Coatepec Day Trip

At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Veracruz and drive north to Xalapa, the State of Veracruz's capital.

First, we'll visit the El Lencero Museum, a historical house once inhabited by one of Hernán Cortés' soldiers and later the residence of former president Antonio López de Santa Anna. Here, we'll see period furniture, personal belongings of the president, the gardens, and coffee plantations. Afterward, we’ll tour the centre of Xalapa, visiting the Government Palace, Bishop Guízar and Valencia Cathedral, the University campus, and the Xalapa Museum of Anthropology, known for its collection of Olmec, Totonaca, and Huasteca artifacts.

Next, we'll move on to Coatepec, referred to as Mexico's 'magical town' due to its coffee heritage.

We will explore the Interactive Coffee Museum, where you'll learn about coffee production in the region and taste various types of coffee from Coatepec.

At 6:30 pm, we'll begin our return journey to your hotel in Veracruz, arriving by 8 pm.
