When booking, you can choose between two different options, both starting at Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, including an English-speaking guide, and concluding at the starting point.

Chaves, Boticas & Montalegre Tour

We will meet at the indicated time to cross the border into Portugal and head towards Alto Tâmega in the Trás-os-Montes region.

First, we will visit Montalegre and its 12th-century fortress, followed by the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to learn about the history and heritage of the region.

Next, we will visit Boticas, known for its stone houses and charming streets, including the Rural Museum, highlighting its agricultural past. There will be one hour of free time for lunch before continuing the tour.

Finally, we will visit Chaves to see its medieval castle, a National Monument, the Roman bridge of Trajan, and the thermal baths of Chaves. The tour will conclude with a return to the starting point.

Chaves, Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

This option includes exploring Chaves and additional emblematic places in Trás-os-Montes.

We will discover Vila Pouca de Aguiar, visiting Parque das Pedras Salgadas, and Valpaços, where we will see the Wine Museum and learn about the town's winemaking tradition. You can decide which areas you want to visit.
