Tour Details

When booking, you can choose between two different options. Both start at Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, include an English-speaking guide, and end back at the starting point.

Boticas & Montalegre Tour

We'll start at the indicated time to cross the border to Portugal and head towards Alto Tâmega, part of the Trás-os-Montes region.

First, we'll visit the village of Montalegre and its 12th-century fortress. We'll also visit the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to explore the history and heritage of this Portuguese municipality.

Another town we'll visit is Boticas, known for its stone houses and charming streets. Here, we'll explore the Rural Museum to learn about Boticas' agricultural past and see preserved traditional tools.

We'll have one hour of free time for lunch and then conclude the tour with a return to the starting point after a total of 8 hours.

Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

This option includes a visit to Vila Pouca de Aguiar and the Parque das Pedras Salgadas, a wooded area with uniquely shaped stones.

We'll also visit Valpaços to explore the Wine Museum and learn about the town's winemaking tradition. You will have the choice which areas to visit!

After an 8-hour exploration, we'll conclude this activity back at the starting point.
