Pont du Gard Aqueduct Ticket
Your ticket allows independent access to one of the main Roman aqueducts in Southern France, located half an hour from Avignon and Nîmes. Explore the monument and the surrounding complex, including a museum, cinema, and open-air exhibition.
Pont du Gard
This aqueduct is among the best-preserved ancient infrastructures in Europe. With a skip-the-line ticket, you can walk along the path beside this stone monument over the Gardon River. Constructed in the 1st century AD without modern tools, it served as an aqueduct until the 6th century, became a toll road in the Middle Ages, and a conventional road from the 18th to the 20th century. It was restored in 2000 to preserve its original appearance.
Pont du Gard Museum
Underneath the arches lies an underground museum featuring an exhibition on the aqueduct's construction by 1,000 men, completed in 5 years and weighing almost 50,000 tonnes. Virtual reconstructions, films, and panels illustrate the significance of Roman engineering and architecture.
Memories of the Garrigue
Adjacent to the aqueduct is an open-air exhibition focusing on the history of Mediterranean agriculture and showcasing remains of the aqueduct.
Pont du Gard Cinema
In the cinema, watch a documentary about the aqueduct that blends reality with fiction.
