Enjoy a 1.5-hour guided tour of the Palace of Versailles and discover the secrets of this jewel of classical French Baroque architecture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. First, we'll enter the Royal Apartments, decorated to the refined tastes of Louis XIV with tapestries, paintings, and delicate ornaments.
We'll then continue to the Hall of Mirrors, known for its intricate lamps, sculptures, and impressive frescoes by Charles Le Brun. Our guide will provide history on the Treaty of Versailles, signed here in 1919, ending the First World War.
After the 1.5-hour guided tour, you will receive tickets to visit on your own the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon, the private estate of Marie Antoinette, and the Queen's Hamlet. You can also explore the gardens of the Palace of Versailles and their ornate fountains at your leisure.
