Classical Music Concert in the Kursalon

Enjoy classical music in the famous Vienna Kursalon, where Johann Strauss gave his first concert. You can enhance your experience with a dinner at the Kursalon's restaurant or a nearby establishment.

Concert

The concert features memorable works by Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the Alt Wien Salon Orchestra in the Lanner Hall. Pieces include the Blue Danube, The Emperor Waltz, A Night in Vienna, Concerto for Piano, Bandits' Gallop, and The Magic Flute. The evening also includes performances by opera singers and ballet dancers.

Types of tickets

There are three types of tickets available. VIP tickets offer front-row seating, a glass of sparkling wine, a concert program, and a CD of Johann Strauss.

Dinner

You can enjoy dinner at the Kursalon before the concert, either in the Johann restaurant or at a nearby establishment, depending on availability. The Kaiserwalzer menu includes a starter, main course, and dessert with two seasonal options for each course. Please indicate a vegetarian preference when booking. If you choose the 6 pm concert in summer, dinner will be served after the concert.

Viena Kursalon

The Kursalon, built in renaissance style between 1865 and 1867 by Emperor Franz Josef I, hosted its first concert by Johann Strauss in 1868. It now attracts over 200,000 attendees annually.

May and June 2024 Changes

In May and June 2024, some concerts may occur at venues in Vienna other than the Kursalon. Dinner options will still be available. Category A, B, and VIP seats are maintained regardless of the concert location.
