Classical Music Concert in the Kursalon

Enjoy classical music in a unique space, the famous Vienna Kursalon, where Johann Strauss gave his very first concert. You can complete your experience with a dinner at the restaurant of this musical hall or a nearby establishment.

Concert

The concert features memorable works of Austrian composers Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Alt Wien Salon Orchestra performs in the Lanner Hall. Pieces include the Blue Danube, The Emperor Waltz, A Night in Vienna, Concierto for Piano, Bandits' Gallop, and The Magic Flute, accompanied by opera singers and ballet dancers.

Types of tickets

There are three kinds of tickets. VIP tickets include front row seats, a glass of sparkling wine, a concert programme, and a CD of Johann Strauss.

Dinner

You can complete the experience with dinner at the Kursalon before the concert, subject to availability. Dinner will be served in the Johann restaurant or another nearby establishment, featuring a Kaiserwalzer menu with a starter, main course, and dessert, with seasonal options. Please indicate if you prefer a vegetarian option. For the 6 pm concert in summer, dinner will be served at the end of the concert.

Viena Kursalon

The Kursalon was constructed in a renaissance style from 1865 to 1867 by Emperor Franz Josef I. Johann Strauss held his first concert here in 1868, and the hall has since hosted concerts for over 200,000 attendees annually.

May and June 2024 Changes

In May and June 2024, some concerts may take place at locations in Vienna other than the Kursalon, where a dinner option will still be available. Category A, B, and VIP seats will remain available regardless of the concert location.
