Classical Music Concert in the Kursalon

Enjoy classical music in the famous Vienna Kursalon, the site where Johann Strauss held his first concert. You can enhance your experience with a dinner at the Kursalon restaurant or a nearby establishment.

Concert

The concert features memorable works from Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the Alt Wien Salon Orchestra in the Lanner Hall. Pieces include the Blue Danube, The Emperor Waltz, A Night in Vienna, Concierto for Piano, Bandits' Gallop, and The Magic Flute, accompanied by opera singers and ballet dancers.

Types of tickets

There are three types of tickets. VIP tickets include front-row seats, a glass of sparkling wine, a concert programme, and a CD of Johann Strauss.

Dinner

You can enjoy dinner at the Kursalon before the concert, either in the Johann restaurant or another nearby location, depending on availability. The Kaiserwalzer menu includes a starter, main course, and dessert with two seasonal options for each course. Please indicate a preference for vegetarian options when booking. In summer, for the 6 pm concert, dinner will be served after the concert.

Viena Kursalon

The Kursalon, constructed in Renaissance style between 1865 and 1867, was first used by Johann Strauss for his concert in 1868. It now hosts over 200,000 concert attendees annually.

May and June 2024 Changes

In May and June 2024, some concerts may occur at different locations in Vienna, while still offering the option for dinner. Category A, B, and VIP seats will be available, regardless of concert location, with additional documents detailing the venues and addresses available for reference.
