Danube & Wachau Valleys Day Trip

Get off of the beaten track and embark on an exciting day trip which will bring us to some of Vienna's natural gems, including Danube Valley and UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley!

Tour Highlights

Quick bus ride from Vienna's city centre.Visit landmarks such as Dürnstein Castle and Melk Abbey.Explore the Krems Wine Region, the Danube Valley, and the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley.Tour led by an expert English-speaking guide.

What Can I Expect?

On the day of the activity, we'll meet in the centre of Vienna and board a comfortable bus.

Dürnstein Castle

Our first stop will be the ruins of Dürnstein Castle, where Richard of Lionheart was reportedly held captive. You'll have 1 hour of free time to explore the grounds.

Krems Wine Region

The next stop is the Krems wine region in the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley, known for its historical charm and scenic beauty.

Melk City

Our final stop is the city of Melk, noted for its architectural styles, especially the grand baroque Melk Abbey. You will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the abbey.

Boat trip on the Danube

From mid-April to the end of October, a boat ride on the Danube River is included. Outside this period, a guided tour of Melk Abbey will replace the boat ride.
