What Can I Expect?
On the day of the activity, we'll meet in the centre of Vienna and board a comfortable bus.
Dürnstein Castle
One of our first stops will be the medieval ruins of Dürnstein Castle. Legend states that Richard of Lionheart was held captive here. You'll have 1 hour of free time to explore the grounds.
Krems Wine Region
Next, we will stop in Krems, an enchanting wine region nestled in the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley, known for its historical charm and scenic beauty.
Melk City
Our last stop is in the city of Melk, featuring a variety of architectural styles. The main landmark is the Benedictine monastery, Melk Abbey. You will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the abbey.
Boat trip on the Danube
From mid-April to the end of October, a boat ride on the Danube River will be included in the tour. During the rest of the year, this will be replaced with a guided tour of Melk Abbey.
