Full-Day Trip to Salzburg

After being picked up from your hotel, we'll head to Salzburg, a city located on Austria's border with Germany.

Along the way, we'll travel through the incredible landscapes of the Salzkammergut region, full of enormous mountains and large lakes. This was Emperor Franz Joseph's favourite summer resort. We'll see Lake Mondsee, where we'll make a brief stop so that you can take photos of this privileged enclave.

Upon arrival in Salzburg, we'll enjoy a tour of Salzburg to discover the city's most important monuments, including the Cathedral, the Festival Hall, St. Peter's Church and its cemetery (where Mozart's sister Nannerl is buried), the Salzburg Residence and, of course, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Exploring the different locations from The Sound of Music, you'll finally reach the Baroque 'Pferdeschwemme' horse well and the Mirabell Palace. From here, you'll have the best views over the Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the biggest and best-preserved Medieval fortresses in Europe.

After the guided tour of Salzburg, you'll have approximately 2.5 hours of free time to have lunch, shop, and explore. During this time, if you want, you can also visit the Salzburg Fortress. Please note that the entrance fee is not included.

Finally, after an incredible day filled with beautiful sights and fascinating stories, you'll head back to the capital of Austria, where we'll arrive after 13 hours. The tour finishes at the Vienna State Opera.
