Discover the small town Hallstatt, one of the most enchanting locations in Austria, with this full-day trip from Vienna. The views will take your breath away!

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Vienna. Our drive will allow us to admire the breathtaking views of the Salzkammergut mountain district.

3.5 hours later, we'll arrive at Hallstatt, a picturesque town located in the Austrian Alps. Accompanied by our English-speaking guide, we'll stroll through the cobbled alpine alleyways and streets with a history of 700 years. We will observe the architectural details of the town’s houses and church as we explore.

You'll then have 1 hour 30 minutes of free time for lunch and further exploration.

If you're travelling in summer, we'll conclude our visit with a boat trip on the lake. During other seasons, we will visit the Bone House in St. Michael's Chapel, known for its collection of more than 600 artistically painted skulls, dating back to the 12th century.

Once our day trip is complete, we'll return to Vienna by bus, arriving at the Vienna State Opera at 8:15 pm.
