What is the Mozart Haus Vienna?

The Mozart Haus Vienna is a building in the old town of the Austrian capital where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart once lived between 1784 and 1787. In this house in the historic centre, you can see different musical instruments and personal objects which once belonged to Mozart. The permanent exposition, over four floors, also serves as a window into the Vienna of the 18th century through various drawings. The house includes panels and interactive areas for children to learn about music history.

The tour is self-guided, allowing you to take all the time you need to explore the displays. An audio guide in English will offer explanations about the objects related to Mozart's life and works during the visit.

Address & Schedule

The Mozart House Museum is located at 5 Domgasse and is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm. Final admission is 30 minutes before closing time.
