On this Austrian wine tasting in Vienna, we'll discover the tradition of Austrian winemaking. The vineyards in this region are renowned for their quality.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at Lange Gasse 13 in Vienna to begin the Austrian wine tasting.
During the tasting, we'll indulge in four distinct varieties of Austrian wines while exploring the wine tradition of Vienna. The city features a 700-hectare wine production area. Emperor Marcus Aurelius Probus significantly promoted vine cultivation in ancient Roman Vindobona.
Vienna is known for exceptional white wines, with Grüner Veltliner as the most popular grape variety. It also offers notable red wines, including Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch. A skilled winemaker will guide you to recognize the unique nuances and characteristics of each wine.
To complement the tasting, we'll enjoy appetizers such as cheese, bread, and sausage, enhancing the flavors of the wines. After an hour and a half, we'll conclude the tasting, providing you with a greater appreciation for Austrian wines and the wine culture of Vienna.
